USPS Service Alerts – Irma and Hurricane Maria

Tropical Storm Irma

Suncoast Tampa, St Petersburg, Orlando, Melbourne and Space Coast

All post offices, stations and branches in Suncoast have resumed normal operations, with the exception of those listed below. 

The following offices have limited delivery and retail. These offices also are accepting drop shipments.

  • MelbourneMain, 640 E. New Haven Ave., 32901-9998.
  • Naples, Golden Gate, 11665 Collier Blvd., 34116-9998.
  • Ochopee, 38000 Tamiami Trl. E., 34141-2003.
  • OrlandoPine Hills, 811 Deauville Dr., 32808-9998.
  • Box mail can be picked up at the Orlando Hiawassee Branch at 3200 N. Hiawassee Rd. 32818-9998.
  • OrlandoAzalea Park, 501 N. Semoran Blvd., 32807-9998.
  • Pineland, 7450 Pineland Rd., 33945-9800.
  • St PetersburgNorthside, 1201 Gandy Blvd. N., 33702-2404.

The following offices have limited retail services. Customers can pick up PO Box Mail from mobile retail unit onsite. Drop shipments accepted from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

  • Chokoloskee, 195 Smallwood Dr., 34138-9800.
  • Everglades City, 601 Collier Ave., 34139-9800.

Location of mobile retail unit is 102 Copeland Ave. N., 34139. Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The following offices have limited retail Services in a mobile retail unit onsite. PO Box mail can be picked up at these locations. Drop shipments will be accepted from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

  • Goodland, 427 Papaya St., 34140-9800. Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Marco Island, 600 E. Elkcam Cir., 34145-9998. Mon.-Sat., 10 a.m.-3 p.m.


Hurricane Maria

All post offices in Puerto Rico are closed.

There will be no retail services, package or mail pick up at any location in 006-009.

There will be no Priority Mail Express service or shipment of live animals in Puerto Rico due to the hurricane.

USPS is not accepting Priority Mail Express live animals for the following ZIP Codes:  006 , 007, 008 and 009. 

Virgin Islands

St. Thomas

There will be no retail services or package or mail pick up at any location on St. Thomas today.

St. John

There will be no retail services, package or mail pickup at any location on St. John today.

All remaining offices are closed. There will be no retail, delivery or pickup services available. 

The following Islands are closed for retail services, package or mail pickup.

Will like to know when or a date Vieques, P.R. 00765 mail will start to be deliver. Also what happen if I mail the packages to Vieques now? Do the postal services returned to sender?
