ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A local man is getting some well-deserved recognition after serving at the United States Postal Service in Rochester for 55 years.
Marvin Raphael received a USPS service award in front of family and friends during his shift Tuesday night.
He began working for the postal service back in 1964; when stamps were just 5 cents and employees earned roughly $2.25 per hour.
His first assignment was as a distribution clerk. In 1987 he was promoted to review clerk, a position he still holds today.
