A Shreveport mail carrier was allegedly attacked over the weekend.
The Times obtained a copy of the offense report which alleges the incident.
The attack reportedly occurred Saturday afternoon in the 2000 block of Horton Avenue, according to an offense report.
The offense report provides a brief narrative which only reads:
“B/F juvenile attack a mail carrier and fled the scene.“
The document identifies theft and simple battery as offenses.
The victim, who reported the incident, is a 27-year-old Shreveport woman, according to the report documents.
In an emailed response to The Times, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service said inspectors are aware of the alleged incident and that they are working with the Shreveport Police Department to work with the matter. Inspectors are also asking if anyone has information on the incident, to call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service hotline at 877-876-2455.
