As part of the scam, the victim receives an email that appears to be from the United State Postal Service (USPS).
The victim clicks the button for more information on the package, and then gets an alert their email has been compromised and to call a number to get it fixed.
The victim calls the number and the scammer has the victim buy Google play gift cards to pay to fix the problem.
The victim gives the scammer the gift card number to get the issue fixed and they are asked to buy more, etc.
