Retired mail carrier charged with stalking

WALWORTH, N.Y. (WHEC) — A retired mail carrier has been charged with third degree stalking.

New York State Police say 61-year old Timothy Bilak of Walworth was arrested for allegedly mailing out dozens of threatening letters to nearly a dozen current and former U.S. Postal Service employees.

Authorities say over the past month, some victims received multiple letters.

Police say the letters were intended to cause fear to the recipient and their family.

Bilak was arrested at his home in Walworth, processed in Canandaigua and then transported to Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment. He has a future court date in the Town of Walworth
