Ethan Adeyemi, 2, went missing around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday running from family members outside his house in the 7800 block of Blue Stream Drive after following an adult out of the house. His family contacted police when they could not immediately find him.
Around 8 a.m., the worker called 911 after seeing Adeyemi walking on the side of I-95. The worker stopped and took the boy into his car until police arrived.
It appears Adeyemi walked half a mile from where he originally went missing. He has been taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment but appears to be in good health, police said.
Adeyemi is believed to be on the Autism spectrum but has not been formally diagnosed due to his age. He is non-verbal but will clap in response to his name, police said.
Police described Adeyemi as a black boy who is short for his age. He was not wearing socks or shoes when he went missing.
