Postal worker cited after hit-and-run crash, police say

April 19, 2017

The driver of a postal truck didn’t stop after a crash April 9 in Lower Saucon Township, police report.

Lisa Yelito, 44, of the 400 block of State Street in East Greenville, Montgomery County, was driving at 2:55 p.m. toward Hellertown in the 2300 block of Wassergass Road when she swerved into the oncoming lane, police said.

The side-view mirror on the postal truck smashed the mirror on a pickup truck driven by Alison Blackadar, 58, of Lower Saucon, police said.

Yelito later told an officer that there was nowhere to pull over and “she didn’t know what the procedure was after an accident,” police said.

A charge of leaving the scene of an accident will be delivered by mail, according to police.
