HILLSDALE — A postal worker was airlifted to Albany Medical Center Saturday afternoon following a one-vehicle accident in Hillsdale.
The accident happened around 12:05 p.m. on Oxbow Road, according to Columbia County 911.
The mail truck veered off the road and struck a tree. The driver, Esther Horn, 54, of Copake, had facial injuries and lost consciousness, according to state police Capt. David Kolb.
The landing zone for the Lifenet helicopter was established in the parking lot at Catamount Mountain Resort on Route 23 and Horn was transported to the hospital.
State police are investigating the cause of the crash.
