Postal Board of Governors update

Board update. President Trump has announced his intention to nominate William Zollars, a Kansas resident, to be a member of the USPS Board of Governors.

The nomination will be for the remainder of a seven-year term expiring Dec. 8, 2022.

The U.S. Senate must confirm nominees before they join the board.

The governors are the principal officers of the Postal Service. The board is similar to a board of directors, conducting long-range planning and setting strategic policies, among other duties.

It’s really unfortunate for the future of the postal service that Trump is putting his people in because Obama was too damn lazy to appoint people to those vacancies… this might prove to be the death knell to the postal service as we now know it.

I’m not a huge fan of Obama but his nominates were routinely stonewalled by the “privatizing” factions on the congressional committees

Mike- The current PMG is indeed a DEMOCRAT, Trump chose not to replace her. She is now retiring and the position is open
