NASHVILLE, TENN. (WSMV) – Police have identified the pedestrian, who was killed early Thursday morning after getting hit by a semi-truck in South Nashville.
Metro Police said 35-year-old Joey Deliefde, of Nashville, was hit by a USPS semi-truck on Harding Place near Metroplex Drive around 1:22 a.m..
Police said Deliefde was in a southbound lane of Harding Place when she was struck by the USPS truck. Police said Deliefde was trying “to flag down a vehicle” before the crash.
Deliefde was transported to Vanderbilt with critical injuries where she was pronounced dead.
