PMG thanks employees for holiday efforts

The following message is from Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan:

I want to thank you for serving the mailing and shipping needs of our customers and going the extra mile to deliver exceptional service this holiday season.

The holidays are our busiest time of the year, and every member of the Postal Service workforce has an important role to play.

You will accept, process and deliver more than 13 billion pieces of mail and 800 million packages between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day — more than any other shipper. Your work during this busy time of the year underscores the indispensable role we play in the lives of our customers. They know they can count on us to ensure their gifts, greeting cards and other holiday mail arrive on time.

Your efforts during the holidays help us earn our customers’ trust and loyalty and demonstrate the Postal Service’s value to the American public. As postal employees, we take great pride in serving our customers at every touchpoint. I’m proud of your work during the holidays and all year long.

On behalf of our executive leadership team, thank you for your commitment to our customers and your dedication to the Postal Service. I wish you and your loved ones a safe and happy holiday season.
