March 17, 2017

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – A part-time postal worker was arrested on felony charges after being busted for entering a business and stealing a laptop, state police said on Friday.

On Tuesday, March 7, New York State Police troopers were dispatched to a business in Southeast to conduct a larceny investigation when workers reported that an Apple laptop had been taken.

The subsequent investigation determined that 32-year-old Brewster resident Joshua Hoffman, who works as a part-time United States Postal Service employee, entered the business and stole the laptop from the reception area, police said.
