NAPS: POSTAL REFORM COULD RECEIVE A VOTE.

POSTAL REFORM COULD RECEIVE A VOTE. CALL CONGRESS TODAY!

There is a new bipartisan push in the Congress to tack postal reform legislation on to the large omnibus government funding package that Congress is likely to vote on very soon. The proposal has received broad support throughout the postal community.

NAPS supports this postal reform effort and requests its members to lend their voice. Please call these key Senate and House leaders and leave a message urging them TO INCLUDE POSTAL REFORM IN THE OMNIBUS FUNDING BILL. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell 202-224-2541 Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer 202-224-6542 House Speaker Paul Ryan 202-225-3031 House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi 202-225-4965

The new postal reform effort is emerging in the Senate with the support of Sen. Jerry Moran (R-KS), along with Sen. Tom Carper (D-DE), Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-SD) and Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO). Their legislation will build upon the House postal reform measure, H.R. 756, and provide greater financial stability to the US Postal Service.

Time is of the essence! Please call the above Senate and House leaders today and urge them to include postal reform in the omnibus funding measure. Please forward this message to family and friends, encouraging them to join us to help to save the post office! Thanks!
