Man admits robbing post office, shooting postal worker

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) — An Alabama man has pleaded guilty to the shooting of a postal worker during a robbery last September in Pontotoc County.

Richard Thomas Scott, 41, of Wilmer, Alabama, entered guilty pleas to robbing a post office and use of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

The clerk was shot in the arm by Scott during the robbery of the Randolph Post Office in Pontotoc County on September 23, 2016.
