Mail truck damaged by fire in SC

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. —A U.S. Postal service mail truck sustained significant damage Monday in a fire, Chief Steve Alverson, of the Parker Fire Department, said.

The mail truck caught fire on Pete Hollis Boulevard. The call came in around 6:30 p.m. The fire was put out within 10 minutes, Alverson said.

There is no word on whether there was anything in the truck, including letters of packages, that was damaged, or why the truck caught fire.
