CHESANING, MI — City Carrier Beverly K. Kosin has worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 34 years and she has had the same mail route in Chesaning for the past 12.
After more than a decade delivering mail there, she knows the neighborhood and its residents well. So, when a Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped her while she was out on her route Wednesday, Aug. 9, and informed her that an area boy was missing, she took action.
Jourdano Delgado, 7, was reported missing about noon Wednesday. Kosin said she knew who he was because his house is on her route.
Saginaw County Sheriff William Federspiel said Delgado was at home with his mother when he climbed through a window and wandered away. She realized he was missing just before noon and reported it to police, he said.
