The preliminary hearing for a man charged with the slaying of a Shreveport mailman will continue at a later date.
Michael Gentry, 32, was on Tuesday’s docket for a preliminary hearing in Judge Charles Tutt’s courtroom in Caddo Parish Court.
He faces charges including second-degree murder, resisting an officer, obstruction of justice, battery of a police officer, possession of a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 2 grams of schedule II controlled dangerous substance, per the docket.
Gentry’s hearing reset to occur on Sept. 30, according to courtroom discussion.
