Part of her route included the home of her estranged husband.

Williams requested with the postmaster to be reassigned to a different route so she wouldn’t have to go by the home.

However, the postmaster denied the request.

While delivering the mail on december 23rd of 2017, williams delivered her estranged husband’s mail and passed by the home on her way out of the neighborhood.

That’s when the man exited his home with a gun, stopped her, and shot and killed her before killing himself.

shame on you usps! what was her boss thinking ? she asked and he denied her request to be safe SAFTEY FIRST REMEMBER ! could have taken this particular street of her route or go with her to make sure she was going to be safe unbelievable

Just another example of piss poor management decisions. Fire the bad managed USPS! Fire them!!

The only person responsible is the the SOB who killed her.

I just thank God I’m retired out of this sorry organization. 21 1/2 years of faithful service to the PO and what do I get basically nothing. In the 21 years of dedicated service, I can only remember one time of getting any kind of accolade, but that one accolade will stick with me the rest of my life. No retirement ceremony just a damn certification of service and got that in the mail. Are you kidding me?

Another reason to get rid all incompentent managers! I hope this manager gets jail time for this incompentence!

The manager can live with her blood on his hands. Safety is just another roadblock to “efficiency”. That and being afraid to accommodate because someone else will complain.
