A USPS van with 400 pieces of mail inside was stolen in DC

A United States Postal Service mail van was stolen Monday afternoon in D.C., police say.

Police initially told ABC7 on Tuesday morning that the van had been recovered.

Later, a viewer found what was first believed to be a second stolen postal van near his apartment building in the 3500 block of 11th Street NW and contacted 7 On Your Side and property management. Property management called police.

As it turns out, the van located on 11th Street Tuesday afternoon is the same van that went missing Monday night.
