Mail truck catches fire on Indianapolis northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS—A U.S. Postal Service mail delivery truck appeared to be heavily damaged after it caught fire on the Indianapolis northwest side, Wednesday afternoon.

The van came to rest on West 30th Street just east of Georgetown Road, not far from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The van appeared to be full of mail, but the driver would not say whether the mail was damaged.

  1. I have experienced my mail truck going on fire and it was pouring rain to make matters worse. We delivered what mail was not burned because we deliver for you. Through rain sleet snow rain or fire we deliver for you. 😂 LOL

    there is more concern over the mail than the carrier. Is there something wrong with that scenerio?
